There is nothing wrong being number two. Out of all the students, if you will be the second placer, it is, ofcourse, not at all bad! But there's this what we call "self-satisfaction". Not all are into competition. But some just want to be the first placer so that they could prove something to themselves and to others. It is not boasting, but it is just having a confidence in your own merit as an individual person. You give your all time and effort for one thing, with this expectation, that you will be the first. Not just so you can boast your being number one to others, but just so that you can feel proud of yourself. Same with your parents and your teachers too. It is called self-esteem. Self-worth. Self-assurance. But yeah, just a thought of mine, if you couldn't win, then take it in a positive way. Take that thing as a challenge. Isn't?But one thing is for sure, if that place was really meant for you then no matter what happens, that place will just be yours. :)
I believe that smart work + hard work = winner!!
Only one has to win. If you lose, don't stop trying. Try and try until you succeed. That's the greatest motto everyone should apply. :)

Hello Miss princess, there nothing wrong being number 20 much more number 2 hahahaha.. my parents proud of me when i finished the race for only number 20 among others, they proud because even all trials and hindrances, I didn't stop but continue to move till I completely finished..

Until I attempted to write my paper. I was at a loss for the correct approach to my answer. However, I belief in order to have success you must have God in your life because success is definitely "a result or an outcome" or "an event that accomplishes its intended purpose" as stated on dictionary.com. Having a successful life is not having everything you need and want.
Sadly, because I think in pictures, when I first thought of success I pictured having a big house, a fancy car, and expensive clothes. Socially that is due to the media and the changes society has taken, stamping the incorrect value on life. It is as if materialistic things are more important and valuable than anything else. For that reason, it is hard for me to believe that "he who dies with the most toys wins." Success is not measured by the materials one obtains but rather by how you achieve something and, after you are finished you may obtain certain benefits and rewards from your success. Therefore, the quote is misleading because the person that wins when they die is the one who lives right by God.
haha!!! dipti!!!!:D there's nothing wrong with number two. but yeah, it's good to get what we want sometimes especially if one really works hard for it. but at times it's good enough to know that we did our best that sometimes it wouldn't matter what kind of rank we get :D
